I don't have a 911 yet, but after reading this book I understand why many people pay as much as a small house for one...the history and craftsmanship behind these cars are phenomenal! I even toured the Porsche museum & factory near Stuttgart after reading this book and came away a true believer. Thanks for the inspiration, Mr. Leffingwell! The photography and archived drawings were great. The narrative provided some good information, but it didn't go as deep as I would have liked and it occasionally transitioned poorly between chapters. The layout of the visuals didn't always follow the narrative, so it wasn't always clear if what was being described referenced the accompanying pictures. Overall it felt pretty amateur so I have no idea why this author is so highly praised. I won't be buying any more of his work.
